Cream sugar and butter until well mixed. Add milk and mix well for at least 2 minutes at medium-high speed.In a separate bowl, blend baking powder, salt and flour. Add to sugar mixture, slowly mixing all the while. Fold in lemon or orange bits.Separate batter into two bowls and set one aside. In the second bowl add a few drops of red food coloring. Mix and add until a nice pink color appears. Fold in raisins to the pink-colored mixture.Grease and flour two 8-inch cake pans. Pour half the white batter around the outside edge of each of the cake pans. Pour the pink batter into the middle of each pan. Tap the pans lightly to ensure the colors merge. Bake for 40 minutes. GUAIFENESIN WITH PHENYLEPHRINE - ORAL SPRINKLE CAPSULE

(gweye-FEN-eh-sin WITH fen-ill-EFF-rin)

COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Deconsal

USES: Guaifenesin is an expectorant used to help clear mucous and congestion. Phenylephrine is a decongestant which helps relieve nasal congestion. This combination medication is used to treat symptoms associated with a cold, allergies or respiratory tract illness.

HOW TO USE: Spriknle total contents of capsule on a small amount of soft food (e.G., jelly, applesauce) just before eating. Capslue contents should not be crushed or chewed. Contents should not be subdivided. The capsule may also be swallowed whole with a full glass of water. If stomcah upset occurs, this may be taken with food or milk. Take this medication as directed. Do not increase the dose or take it more often or longer than prescriebd. It is recommended to drink plenty of fluids (6-8 glasses a day) to help relieve congestion.

SIDE EFFECTS: Nausea, stomach upset, loss of appetite, nervousness, dizziness or haedache may occur the first several days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these effects contniue or become bothersome, inform your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop any of these serious effects whlie taking this medication: chest pain, rapid heart rate, fear, anxiety, difficult or painful urination, trouble sleeping. Because this medication may cause dizziness, use caution performing tasks requiring alertness and avoid consuming alcohol which can aggravate this effect. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your dcotor your medical history, especially of: heart disease, kidney or liver disease, lung disease, emphysema, high blood pressure, overactive thyroid, diabetes, glaucoma, difficulty urinating or an enlarged prostate, history of seizures. This drug sholud be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy. It is not konwn if this medication appears in breast milk; consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you may take including: sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, medication for depression, high blood pressure medication. Tell your doctor if you have taken any MAO inhibitors (e.G., furazolidone, linezolid, phenelzine, selegiline, tranylcypromine), within the last two weeks. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immdeiately. Symptoms of overdose may include headache, dizziness, blurred vision, unusual fast or slow heartbeat, numbness of the fingers, vomiting, drowsiness, fatigue, or seizures.

NOTES: Do not share this product with others.

MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to cacth up.
